Sports should be fun!

I took up triathlon in 2014 to try something new, and I’ve enjoyed (almost) every stroke, pedal and step ever since.

My coaching philosophy is to ensure you find the same kind of joy I have from the multisport adventure.

Triathlon is totally do-able.

When people in America think “triathlon,” they usually think “Ironman,” but there’s much more to this sport than that.

If you’ve ever run a 5K or 10K, you’re capable of completing a sprint triathlon. If you haven’t, that’s cool too! We’ll figure out what will work best for you and how to fit training into a busy life.

Let my experience work for you.

I’ve raced at two world championships, five USA Triathlon national championships, a dozen Ironman 70.3 races, reached a few age-group podiums and even bagged a second-place finish at the famous Malibu Triathlon.

In addition, I’m a USA Triathlon Certified Coach, which means I’ve been trained to guide and mentor you safely and effectively - not just in swimming, biking and running, but in understanding the fundamentals of physiology and nutrition to power your training.

We will work together on your goals.

One of my favorite aspects of triathlon training is that every athlete comes to it from a different place. Even at the elite level, no one is perfect in every discipline.

We’ll start by discussing your own history with sports, making smart goals and breaking them down into achievable stepping stones. If you’re ready to grow, I’m ready to help.

“Andrew has been a tremendous asset to me in triathlon training. Not only did he encourage me to get back into the sport when I had been out for a little while, without even asking he gave me a plan that he knew would work for my schedule and athletic ability.

He is constantly challenging me, but is also the biggest cheerleader when it comes to believing in myself and getting the most out of every day of training.

He is very knowledgeable about all three disciplines and the work ethic he has put into triathlon training has been a personal inspiration to me and so many others!”

— Melanie (Celebration, Fla.), an athlete who worked with Andrew remotely to prepare for sprint-distance triathlon

“Andrew is a wonderful partner for triathlon training. I have been a competitive athlete all my life but Andrew was able to help me customize my strength and endurance training to specifically reach my goals for a classic distance triathlon.

We would train together early in the mornings, somedays I was tired and tempted to not show up, but knowing Andrew would be waiting with a smile and a positive attitude got me there on time! While working together he was very helpful in encouraging me to safely push myself to my limits.

Working with Andrew helped me reach my goals and I am so grateful for his dedication and mentorship!”

— Kelli (Brentwood, Calif.), a training partner of Andrew’s

“Andrew combines athletic know-how with a positive attitude and a unique compassion that makes complete beginners 100% comfortable.

Think you can't do a triathlon? Think again!

Whether you're brand new to swimming, or want to go from couch to 5K, Andrew can motivate you and design a plan to help you achieve your goals! And he'll be your #1 cheerleader in the process.”

— Kylie (Santa Monica, Calif.), a teammate and mentee of Andrew’s
